Transport economist with an experience of 25 years, skilled in mobility planning and public transport services, since 2006 he is founder and President of TeMA.
His main competencies concern:
– designing governance models, defining service entrusting models for public bodies (public service contracts, tendering documents – letter of invitation, tender, specifications, bid evaluating systems);
– feasibility studies related to transport systems, traffic and mobility studies, mobility demand evaluation and estimation (origin-destination matrix);
– service monitoring systems (perceived, provided and expected quality), passengers counting, origin-destination surveys, service contracts monitoring systems;
– technical, operational and organizational support to transport operators for LPT tenders participation (alliance policies, sector studies, market analysis, tender strategies, project management, business plans, tariffs system, investments plan)
Alessio Catanzano

Alessio Catanzano
Transport economist with over 20 years of experience as consultant and project manager.
With a background in economics, he is skilled in technical and economic analysis of transport companies, what-if analysis, innovation management and marketing.
He was a senior consultant in Lem Reply for 10 years, working for all the major public transport companies in North Italy. He has gained experience in electric mobility thanks to the project eMobility of Mercedes-Daimler and Enel (main utility company in the energy sector in Italy); for Enel, he supported the City of Pisa in the design and implementation of the network of charging stations for electric vehicles in the city.
His skills also include the analysis of environmental and social sustainability. He supported rail transport companies in projects aimed at implementing sustainability management systems and he has been a lecturer for these topics in the master “Higher level technician for mobility and public transport” held by Engim educational centre in Turin.
He has gained experience in managing complex innovation projects, for example, for Saipem (ENI) he worked on the project “Mobile device adoption Shah pilot”, project aimed at implementing a tablet’s software (PRISM, Progress Integrated System for Mobiles) for digital management of working progress reports in the yard of Shah (United Arab Emirates), one of the biggest yard in the world at time (40.000 workers).
For three years he was “business development manager” in the sector of electronic payments thanks to his expertise in new technologies.
Has a diploma in counseling and works as a trainer in prison for a non-profit organization.

Dal 2008 è consulente di TeMA S.r.l., come responsabile dell’ufficio gare interno, occupandosi di:
- predisposizione della documentazione per le procedure di gara (interne e per soggetti terzi) per la partecipazione ad appalti pubblici e gare per l’affidamento dei servizi,
- supporto tecnico, organizzativo e gestionale alle stazioni appaltanti per la scelta del modello di gara e per la predisposizione della relativa documentazione (capitolati e contratti di servizio),
- supporto e coordinamento con le aziende nella preparazione della documentazione per la partecipazione alle gare per l’affidamento dei servizi,
- verifica, controllo e aggiornamento bandi/gare d’appalto/iscrizioni.

Graduated in Environmental Geographical Sciences and G.I.S for Sustainable Development at the University of Genoa in 2005.
In TeMA since 2006 I have gained experience in a wide range of activities related to the reorganization and optimization of the Local Public Transport sector.
I mainly deal with mobility and transport planning, operational technical support in the context of European projects, logistics and freight transport, organization in relational databases of supply and demand data for mobility in the GIS environment, design, organization and management of mobility surveys, recognition and accessibility to information layers, territorial, urban, personal and socio-demographic data for the preparation of territorial analyzes and studies.
I am the Quality System Manager of TeMA.
Daniele Villani

Degree in transport engineering from the University of Genoa in 2001, specializing in ITS applied to traffic, mobility and logistics.
Many years of collaboration with companies and public bodies on projects related to logistics, transport and sustainable mobility at national and European level, in particular within the INTERREG, LIFE and CIVITAS programs.
Technical contact for the development and subsequent operation of the first urban logistics project of national interest (Progetto MERCi – Genoa).
Lecturer in Logistics, Transport, Navigation and Meteorology at high school and post-graduate school.

He has worked on projects in the fields of public transport (Metro of Valparaiso in Chile) and port logistics (for the Port of Antofagasta).
Renata Gabrieli

In the same years she collaborated with some consultancy companies in the transport and territorial planning sector (Bonifica S.p.A. of Rome, TRT Trasporti e Territorio S.r.l. of Milan, Polinomia S.r.l. of Milan) participating in various mobility plans and traffic studies.
From 1995 to 2005 she left out his professional activity to devote himself full time to his large family.
In the years from 2005 to 2016 she gained many years of experience as an operational account in the world of call centers interacting with different companies and economic sectors; specializes in the management of complex scenarios and structures (operational, managerial and commercial factors) collaborating with various companies, service companies and institutions and dealing with the management of orders, technical and human resources, preparation of offers and management of the commercial process.
More recently she has collaborated with associations and professional firms dealing with administrative and accounting aspects.
In TeMA since 2021 she is part of the administrative structure and collaborates with the technical structure in the preparation of offers and in the management of tenders.
Federica Balbi

In 2020 she graduated from a MA in Comparative Literature; she studied in Italy, France, the UK and Portugal, with a teaching traineeship in Gurgaon, India. Together with Literary Theory and Language Learning (Italian, English, French, German and Portuguese), she has devoted her studies to Communication, Creative Writing and Performance Arts.
She worked as a freelance journalist for the Italian magazines WorldWide Italy and Traspi, as well as for the Scottish publication All Edinburgh Theatre. She focused on Culture, Arts, Tourism, and wrote reviews for theatre plays.
She works as a translator, copy editor, and communication specialist in international contexts.
